List of shorter men for no apparent reason.

The Huffington Post has released a list of shorter male celebrities. I'm not really sure why. The tone of the accompanying article is pretty patronizing.

For example

They're dashing scene-stealers and some of Hollywood's finest, but did you ever realize how short they were?

OMG! You fancied and admired a shorter man! Without knowing!!!!!

As well as

Proving that size doesn't matter, these A-listers break the mold and own their almost-there inches:

I'm not sure what almost-there means, or where almost-there is but these men prove, in the mind of the Huffington Post, that despite the horrendous handicap that is measuring below an imagined and socially constructed acceptable height, these men are still succesfull.

In some ways it is good to draw attention to the fact that not all famous men reach 6 feet, but why dress it up in such ignorant language?

Also the fact this article was ever published shows the problem we are facing. The fact is, a popular paper felt the need to point out that some men are shorter then so called acceptable height. Sad.
