This is a Daily Mail article about a man who preyed on vulnerable women. He used his charm to get into the beds of lonely rich women in order to fleece them for their money. He was a thief, a gambler and a wife beater and those are just the crimes that there is evidence for. It's an interesting if disturbing life story.
What does story focus on however?
The fact that at 5 foot 8 he was 'short' and how miraculous it is that someone so 'short' was able to charm women. Because no one wants a 'short' man apparently.
Oh and it also equates being 'short' as being a similarly disagreeable trait as being violent.
The headline reads 'Despite being short and violent'.
Short and violent.
On a level.
As though they can be compared.
As though living with the pain, fear and shame that a violent man inflicts is the same.
There are no words.
